Not seeing the belittling in the OP's post.

Again, who gives a crap about one idiot's opinion? Or the collective opinion of a group of idiots? Do you seriously think that getting indignant and arguing is going to change anyone's mind?

I think ball pythons are boring. I think paying thousands of dollars for a snake that will plummet in value is ridiculous and I think anyone who is insulted by those twin statements needs to toughen up (and also read up on the definition of "Ponzi" scheme while they are at it). Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I don't really care to hear an opinion by someone whose self worth is so paper thin that they feel the need to change MY opinion in order for them to feel better about themselves and the choices they've made.

Now let me insult some of the giant snake keepers while I'm at it: if you think that your manhood or your "toughness" is defined by the animals you keep, you'd be better off investing your snake money in a string of therapy sessions to deal with your esteem issues. I work with a gay guy who takes pictures of hummingbird nests and breeds pomeranians as his hobbies and who also is a fairly successful MMA fighter. So much for macho stereotypes.

I personally think ball pythons are a bit boring too. Only because they lack the personality and inquisitiveness of many other snakes. As far as that goes, the favorites in my collection are my Boa, my Coastal Carpet, and my little bitty African house snake.

It doesn't have anything to do with size. People will argue the personality thing but I believe those people don't own other, more interesting snakes.

Yes ball pythons come in a plethora of paint jobs, are easy to breed, and fairly easy to care for but (IMO) they are not the most rewarding of the snakes one can have as a pet.

Lol, agree! That is why I won't get anything bigger than a BP. Just because it's safe doesn't mean it's boring! I personally like having small dogs and cats

Things a gay man would do:

Take pictures of hummingbird nests. Check.
    Breed small, poofy dogs. Check.
    Wrestle with sweaty men. Check.

    Sounds stereotypical to me...

    LMAO !!!!

Now I can only say that a snake is really all muscle... Or mostly muscle. I wouldn't want anybody to get hurt, including you AK. Honestly in certain parts of Colorado it's illegal to keep anything bigger then 5 feet. Simply cause big snake keepers have died by their "babies" that are 18 years old. Ironically they grew them up for that long and one day SNAP! Nite nite. So im kinda cool on big snakes iight

I don't have a problem with big stuff. Far from it. I have a problem with the macho guys who think they are hot stuff just because they have them. Same can be said for the folks who get into hots and brag about it. It can be a status symbol, much like how some people only buy overpriced clothing for the name printed on it.

Re: Ball Pythons are "Boring" ???!??

Yes everyone has their own opinions. But I wholeheartedly disagree with what those people said about ball pythons. I love ball pythons, especially mine. They are my babies. I love snakes, and other reptiles and exotics. Each and every one of them are all magnificent and fascinating in their own unique way
