I don't know, between herps and games, I don't have much time for anything else, but then again I work a lot of hours.
You could wait until December and pick up The Old Republic, The Star Wars MMO coming out by Bioware. There are eight classes, and each one is supposed to have over 200 hours of story, let alone the gameplay of a normal MMO.

The obsession eventually dies down, but I still play at least 1-2 games daily - it's super addictive!!

target shooting? Everybody loves and can shoot a .22 and there stupid cheap to buy\maintain\use. One of the best stress relievers as well.

My husband and I volunteered at a no-kill cat shelter for a while back in Utah. That is a very rewarding hobby to have.
Walking/hiking is also pretty satisfying. Getting out into nature can be very soothing and good for you. You might even see some snakes!
On that note, you could always check out field herping. 
I love field herping. I went on my first trip recently with my local herp society. Most fun EVER!

Lol, I don't want to give up talking about snakes, but I'm becoming obsessive so it might be a good idea to find something else too. There are been a lot of good suggestions here and I think I'm going give a few of them a try.
