the best thing to do is to use weights. they help stretch the skin instead of just pushing to the next gauge, it's actually rather healthy.

That's exactly what my ears were. Og first hole, 2g second hole.

It was probably the worst mistake. My 2gs have gone back relitively normal after having them out for about a year 1/2. My Ogs have not gone back fully, and now I can't wear normal earrings.

I went from 16g to 00g in like 3 weeks. I only gauged one ear out because every body was gauging both out so I wanted to be different. I lost it in an altercation so I let it close, but I'm getting ready to gauge them both out real soon.

I have 00. Did it slow over the course of 10 years and have perfect circular scarless holes because of it. Rushing is not worth it if you care about your lobes health IMO. Good luck!

I loved ny septum too but I never got to show it because I work so much. I didn't retire it by choice the second time I had it redone. It was a 16g and fell out one night...but since I never feel it I didnt realize till it was already closed...

Im at 1/2" right now. I dont think Ill go any bigger, I like the common selection in jewelry, and i think it fits my lobes just perfect.
I LOVED the whole process. It probably took me 9 months to get to 1/2".
I used a taper on most upsizings. Tapers make you stretch fast but its sometmes painful and you have to be careful not to rip your skin, that sucks!
I found that wearing heavy jewelry such as stone or metals weighted the lobe a little more than acrylics and made the process go faster.

And I LOVE my squishy tunnels, gotta cut back on that ear cheese you know!

Yea the jewelry being readily available is really nice. I want to go bigger in my tongue but finding a 1/2" or 9/16" barbell is tough! I found one place online but they are 90.00!

I wear earrings underneath my plugs all the time. I also wear hoops through my eyelets. This is not my picture but this is what it looks like. You can also buy some of these and pierce them. One of these tricks might work for you.
