When I worked at a Petco (YEARS ago) they used glue traps. One day a co-worker unloaded baby corns into an insecure cage and they all escaped. I found ONE on a glue trap . It took me an hour to get it un-stuck with olive oil and no harm was done to it. Needless to say I threw out all the glue traps . Years later I found a mouse in a glue trap, and again, olive oil did the trick. I can't believe a VET just ripped it off and injured the snake! . Sorry, rant over...

Everyone gave great advice! Get him eating and in the proper set up and I have no doubt he'll pull through.
Glue traps suck. And they're expensive.

I use a tin cat trap. You bait it, sit it up against a wall, and sit back and let it work. Once you've caught them you can take it and dump it in a field.

Nice thing about a tin cat is that it can catch escaped feeder rodents without harm.
