    Ugh! I hate glue traps as well. They are NOT humane, they are intended to trap and hold a pest until you find it and dispose of it, it starves to death or dies from stress. They are NOT designed so we can easily remove a trapped critter.

    When I worked at a Petco (YEARS ago) they used glue traps. One day a co-worker unloaded baby corns into an insecure cage and they all escaped. I found ONE on a glue trap . It took me an hour to get it un-stuck with olive oil and no harm was done to it. Needless to say I threw out all the glue traps . Years later I found a mouse in a glue trap, and again, olive oil did the trick. I can't believe a VET just ripped it off and injured the snake! . Sorry, rant over...

    Everyone gave great advice! Get him eating and in the proper set up and I have no doubt he'll pull through.
