    holy crap.... ok so advice.....tough one

    keep it on just newspaper or something clean and that wont get stuck to the wound. antibiotic ointment can be applied but do it sparingly. feed smaller sized meals. you dont want it to put extra pressure on the wound. and I wouldnt feed it for a week or so give it time to start to heal... then feed slightly more frequent and again smaller meals. fresh water at all times and DONT HANDLE it unless needed for treatment.

    now i am not sure if that is the best things to do but that is my best guess/advice/what i would do.
