Thats as ignorant as the idiots who shoot their buddy because of stupidity messing with a "unloaded" gun

I get guns for the purpose of hunting, that one is pretty obv, but I fail to see how its fun or protection. Arnt you going to get arrested if you actually shoot the attacker?
Yes I would shoot him until he hits the ground.

    Winchester 70-270 = $399.00

    Red Field 3-9X50 Scope = $225.00

    20 rounds .270 = $25.99

3 hours of shooting with friends = priceless

and that is just one weekend

If the person is threatening you or someone that you see it is your DUTY to protect them and your right to protect yourself.

We have "good samaritan laws" which state that if you see some one that needs help and you pass them up, you can be charged with a crime.

Yes the first one to die, loses.

I mean if someone kicks in your door and sees you and then turns to run off and you still shoot them in the back then it is the same as murder. THat of course is the worst summary of a law that I could have come up with but you get the idea.
Texas has that law, I love it.

I carry my pistol on my home place, in my truck and at work. I don't have a CHL but I should get one. I am not the majority here, I walk in a gray area due to our state laws I could still get arrested.

If someone is on my property I can kill them, but I better be able to prove there was a life threatening situation.

I will not travel to states where my right to own a handgun isn't recognized. I don't feel safe in most places, there are crazies where you don't expect them also. I hope I don't have to pull my gun on someone but I'm glad I have the right to have it, and I support those who wish to never own one.
