Re: guess which is which...again, sorry sarin haha
PS If someone can't tell the difference, that should kind of be an indicator that its not that flashy of a morph. That in a nut-shell is what I am saying. Sorry to beat this one dead, but I don't want people think I am disrespecting this morph because I love fires. And I love normal's!! I love balls period haha. And btw Sarin sorry if I came off a little ticked there, your comment insulted my logic a little too much and I reacted too bluntly, I apologize. Not trying to make enemies, just friends and debate.

No one is getting agro, you just don't make much sense.
Your logic is flawed, someone "not into balls" of course woldn't know a fire from a lesser from a clown form a normal.
All of our collective points are that fires do not looklike normals, either as hatchlings or as adults. People can't tell the difference because they can be hard to photograph, like I said it helps to have seen them in person not just via kingsnake.
I'd love to see any picture of a normal that looks as good as these nice fires that are being posted, adult fires look as clearly different to normal royals as adult hypos do and even a novice/non ball keeper can tell the two are different even if they don't know (or care) why.

I love my fire female, I don't feel like I have to get a ghost right now, I believe I have a mutation real close to it that makes white snakes.LOL So to make long story short fires are the shiznit! IMHO

YES! You act like I'm saying that theres no way to tell the difference. Of course I can tell the difference, you can tell the difference we look at these snakes all day everyday, but again like I said in previous posts on this thread, to the untrained eye it can be difficult. Saying my logic is like comparing a spider to a normal is INSANE. You are talking about a very OBVIOUS morph that when put next to a normal is COMPLETELY different. A Fire has a normalesque pattern, where a spider has a very reduced type of pattern. Kind of an insulting comment actually. Lets just drop of it since a lot of you are misunderstanding what I am saying.
Also, you proved my point. You said when you know what to look for haha!! Well, not everyone knows what to look for. So can you see my point a little here? A person that doesn't know jack about ball's that thinks a fire is a normal is proof. Thats all I am sayin lol. Not that the Fire is a boring morph because it appears normalish sometimes, but that it can EASILY be misidentified as a normal if you as Sarin says it "don't know what to look for..." End of story.
Just going by this post, that's all.

I've seen plenty guy, yours looks normalish to me too...? Its a subtle morph get over it haha. I don't see why your making it big deal. I think its over-rated. My opinion thats all. Jason is probably right, and would further incline me to think that all these fires I am seeing are actually normal scammers. But still a subtle morph. You act like I'm saying there ugly lol. There awesome, just a normal though with nice colors and pattern.
Plus not for anything, I have videos up on youtube of my snakes and a lot of people told me I have a fire and its not...You think that fires are sooo distinguishable and there not. You can argue till your blue in the face with me on this one, I think fire is a nice normal that produces white super forms lol.
and again, I am aware of the combo potential. And when they are adults there colors are a lot more bright and noticeable.

Re: guess which is which...again, sorry sarin haha
This whole thread looks like a waste of time to me... why would you go on the internet and find two normal looking balls to compare with? Were you trying to prove a certain point unknown to all of us? For one you do not own either snakes, or gave credit, and two honestly I think you picked two normal snakes. You say youve seen fires in person, but did you take the time to actually look at it? Because I think you would have known that the pictures you provided either are normals, or horrible examples of the morph. Anyone at a show can pass a morph at a show and then say they saw it.
Most people who have had any experiance with morphs can tell a fire from a normal. Fires are lighter, have head markers, and alot of them have an earthy pattern to me.
What most people have trouble with is that they always think that their light normal is a fire...
Will you be doing the same thread with the yellow belly and the chocolate?
Im just confused why you made this thread... To me it seems all you wanted to say was fires look like normals to you, and im sure once you are more experianced with morphs you will beg to differ, and went through way to much trouble of saying something we already kinda know. if you think fires look to much like normals for your taste, then simply to not get one.

Well. How come I showed someone not into snakes a bunch of pictures of morphs and he could clearly show me which is different from normal. I showed him a spider, lesser, genetic stripe, pastel, and a mojave. Every single one he was able to point out, EXCEPT when I compared a normal to fire. He wouldn't be able to tell sometimes. Sometimes he would and would say is that one just lighter? You guys really are blowing this out of proportion and now I feel stupid now for posting this. You all have a terrible way of boasting your opinion, and have a great way of making someone feel stupid. All I was TRYING to do was say that fires CAN sometimes be confused for normals. You all act like I was insulting your intelligence saying you can't tell the difference or something. Listen, pretend I never posted this because it seems all of you missed the point horrendously and were only out to prove me wrong on this. Honestly I could careless about your opinion anymore because I have NORMAL people proving me right everytime. Your all snake dorks of course its obvious to you. I think all you fire owners just got a little upset because I compared your 300$ morph to 30$. I've seen them in person and I do enjoy looking at them because I DO know what to look for. I do know what makes them different and awesome in there own right. And I DO know because I have eyes, and I'm a human being that the appearance of this snake is normalish. IF you cannot understand that, well then I am sorry that we don't possess the same eyeballs and the same logic because appparantly mine doesn't make much sense. But explain to me what is so hard about admitting that the Fire has a normal looking pattern? NOTHING! I can see it being hard if you own one and spent money,, but get over your investment. It is what it is. STill a beauty, but not as eye popping as some other snakes. This was just supposed to be a fun little comparison that Fire can SOMETIMES(not always) be confused as normals if were not as smart as all of you of course. But you had to ruin it with your god awful opinions, and YOUR logic which doesn't make sense to the average joe, which is what counts because the average joe is what helps the hobby grow.
and btw beardeddragon you really think I picked normal snakes? Are you that ignorant? You must be dumb question...But, anyway think what you want bro. I have no idea what I am talking about...I've never seen a Fire your right. In fact I have never seen a morph EVER. So my opinion really means jack anyway so why even argue. Your right, I'm wrong. Its funny though because only on this site is it possible to prove an opinion wrong because of all the hot headed idiots. And its also funny because there was a fire pictured there, and you thought it was normal lmao!!! So basically, you proved my point again. What a waste of time, and something that could have been fun comparison. Did you all just get mad because you didn't know which was which or something? Did I finally fool the pros haha? Thats gotta be it!!!

did I ever say they weren't?
I would love for someone to find where I said that I didn't like this morph, or understand it.

i remeber saying this in like 3 other posts on this thread that the adults are A LOT easier to tell the difference. READ SMART GUY! Here you go insulting my logic, when you cant even read.

1. To prove that Fires CAN be misidentified to the novice eye.
2. I did not pick two normals to prove a point, and made sure I found fires for sale not just normals off of photo bucket. And I am sorry for not giving credit even though I did leave links to the actual sale.
3. What is a horrible example of a morph anyway? A fire is a fire no? Again I said sometimes, not always. Not every Fire is as obvious as the next.
4. They don't all have head markers. And, not all of them have the obvious Fire pattern, again not all examples are the same. Again why I made this thread that some fires are A LOT more subtle.
5. No, but maybe a yellow belly to a normal to how many of you get that wrong too.
6. If your still confused on why I made this thread well then I think you should look into some of your logic, and look into another way of thinking besides the know it all approach because it doesn't work....AGAIN LET ME EMPHASIZE THIS. I KNOW WHAT A FIRE LOOKS LIKE. I CAN TELL THEM APART FROM NORMALS. JUST SAYING SOME EXAMPLES OF THESE GUYS CAN BE TRICKY. PERIOD.
