Also I was having striking problems with him, but did take him out this morning and he just sat in my hand. I put him back into his cage and a few minutes later took him out again. Did not try to strike me once. Maybe the first day I had him he was having a rough day with the car ride and temps being low.

His temps right now are 84.3F with a humidity hovering around 50%
You should measure the temperatures under his hide with a digital thermometer that has a probe on it and use a thermostat to adjust temperatures. UTH can get pretty hot if the temps arent being controlled.

When you first get your snake home, you should give it 1-2 weeks without being disturbed(unless to give it water) so it can adjust to its new environment.

Your temps sound low to me. What are you using to measure temps?
