sorry to see that! I had a baby with just about identical deformities earlier this season. Thanks for sharing... the other baby really looks like a red axanthic!

I am not sure that this is related to wet substrate, as in my Albino clutch, there was 8 eggs. 1 went bad, the Albino was deformed, and the remaining 6 eggs hatched out fine with no problems. I would think if the wet substrate was the issue, the survivor would have had problems too. Did you try adding some dry substrate to the box during incubation to absorb some of the excess water?

The survivor was a runt... The eggs themselves were... very odd to say the least, so I'm really not sure. But they did absorb a lot of water, as I was using a different type of vermiculite..

Could have been a lot of things, but all I know is it was hard as hell seeing that baby.
