Are you serious??? I thought you where kidding about cutting at day 30. I sure wish I could see inside my eggs. I check my eggs once a week. But these are my first (and second) clutch) so I don;t have a hatch rate

That is what I was thinking I heard you say at one point. Snap a pic for me sometime I'd love just out of curiosity to see what a normal looks like on day 30!

I leave mine be mostly. Midway through (that would be roughly today) I like to candle and just check on things. I agree.. incubating is Not hard to do.. leave well enough alone! I admit that I do candle in the beginning to look for veins.. then it's in they go.
