    I've never used it so I couldn't say.

    The active ingredient / antimicrobial in Vetericyn is hypochlorous acid, which is also in products made for human use. You may be able to find something available locally. Just read the ingredient list to ensure that it's the only active ingredient, and everything else is inert (like water).
