What made you want to adopt a snake?

I always loved snakes since I was a kid. I'd say Kaa from Jungle Book was one of the major influences that got me into them. I remember my parents always insisting they were gross, ugly and evil and in turn that just made me like them more because I felt they were misunderstood.

My family and friends at the time all hated snakes so I just kept my love and fascination for them to myself. I thought having pet snakes was just a distant dream and I'd never be allowed to have one in life ever.

Fast forward to moving out and getting married, I discovered my husband didn't mind snakes. That was when I realized no one could stop me anymore lol.

Now I joke to my parents that they have two limbless grandchildren :p
