The problem with snakes are lack of education on the owner and/or arrogance of the owner thinking they can take on one or more snakes beyond their means. A qualified snake owner can safely keep a giant like a burmese or a retic their entire life without issue and an ignorant owner can get bit in the face by a boa constrictor leading to nationwide news because some fire fighter had to hack it off their face. If you take your time and learn about these animals and dedicate your time and energy to learning and caring for them, you never need to ask yourself if said snake might kill you.
