At this point I would really just like to see if anyone has had experience with changing the lid type? I would have to basically break off the sliding lid pieces but if I can do that would I be able to replace the tank lid with one I can get from like petsmart? Just curious since I have no idea what brand the tank is so I can't find any replacement lids for it.
I know the tanks you're talking about. I have one that is currently my quarantine tank.
I went to home depot and bought a sheet of 1/2" foam board insulation. I then cut pieces to cover the back and sides. I also cut one for the top and cut a hole for the heat lamp and some ventilation.
It helps immensely with temps and humidity. I think a 4x8 sheet was $12
