I use the accurite ones from Wal-Mart. Somewhere around $10. I'm happy with them. Just bought a few new ones actually.

couldnt you technically use this in two tanks? like i have a tortoise tank that i spray a couple times daily and a bearded dragon tank that i never spray, so could i put the white probe in the tortoise tank and the display in the beardie tank? switching from indoor/outdoor mode?

Yes you could. You would need to simple set the settings to toggle between indoor and outdoor settings.
