be confident. take the hide off of her, and grab something like some rolled-up paper towel to give her a lil boop. she should recoil, where you'll reach your hand under her and away from her head to pick her up.

if, when in your hand, she's still tense, use your other hand to come from behind her head and kind of just place your hand over her head/body. she'll know she won't win this fight.
