i'm going to say yes only because you can't predict where a snake will pee or poop. 97% of the time my group goes in their hides, but it has happened outside.
if you're more comfortable with Placement A then that's what you should go with. if something were to happen, they do sell replacement probes. you just gota do what works best for you.

Can't wait to hear all about it!!!! And see pictures of course! It will be one week tomorrow since my boy arrived. Looking for the day that I can actually see and hold him. I was able to get a small glimpse of his nose peeking out of his hide but that's the extent of it. Are you going to try and feed on Thursday per Garrick's schedule?

Pics will definitely be shared! Looking forward to seeing more pics of your little guy too! I'm going to try offering food to him on the Thursday and see if he takes it as that seems to be Garrick's common recommendation. I'll let you know how it goes!
