    I'm not being rude, I'm thinking of the animals. I think less than a few months is too soon to give up on a hatchling considering the species is extremely docile by nature and almost always settles down as it matures.
    What happens if you don't like everything about the leopard gecko in the next few months? Will that be re-homed as well?
    Was the enclosure cleaned? One concern with the re-homed snake was potential parasites, so I'm hoping the leopard gecko isn't in the same enclosure considering it was brought home the same day.

    Also, you asked for advice since you are in your own words "obviously pretty new to these guys".

    Constructive criticism is good for everybody. Life can be pretty rough if you can't handle it.
