could it be an abscess? somehow that portion became irritated as well? hard to think these two are unrelated...maybe a vet visit is in order just for peace of mind.
I was suspecting that as well. That's what has me worried , was not there then a day later magically it is. I didn't know if it was an irritated muscle or what not I was more concerned with a skeletal issue

you said it wasn't hard, correct? it sounds like pus/bacteria or fluid build-up. that doesn't lead me to believe it has anything to do with bones but i am in NO WAY QUALIFIED to diagnose this issue. i'd be going to a vet asap.

Vet is the best solution at this point. The good news is that it appears to be low and does not look to be spinal column related. Good luck and please keep us updated. The more stuff like this that we have documented, the better off we all are. The vets know a lot less than we like to think they do. They just do not have the data. I have a long story to tell on that front once my personal saga is complete. Something like this should be no problem for a half way competent exotics vet though.
