    Surprisingly Okay Petsmart Display

Went into petsmart today to get a new bulb for my BP tank and decided to stop and look at the reptiles. I was surprised to see that all of the displays looked a lot nicer then I normally see. All the animals had plenty of hide and greenery and the bearded dragons had little climby steps. I couldn't really speak on the husbandry of the other animals sense I wasn't as versed in them but the ball pythons enclosure was surprisingly okay.

Its not perfect of course but much better then what I'm used to seeing. The temps were at about 85 on the cold side, no thermometer on the hot, and about 40% humidity. The animals seemed in better shape from what I could see as well.

I still would never buy from here but its nice to see that, at least at this store, that they are trying to take batter care of the animals.

my PetSmart actually takes pretty good care of their beeps despite sub-par husbandry; i've never seen any beep too skinny, and i ALWAYS check when i'm there. that setup is way nicer than what my PetSmart does. it's nice to see.

Yeah, I have noticed Petsmart is more consistently better at caring for their animals then places like petco.

Same here as well (Buffalo, NY) Petsmart's look way better. Petco... well, is just sad. This week I saw 3 regular Balls and they looked terrible, skinny, unresponsive...not a single hide in the little glass tank they were in. And they want $89 for one regular ball.

The petsmart out where I live, a normal baby ball is $89.99, or $79.99 w/ that pet perks card or whatever card.

My local pet store charges even more than that for a normal. Total ripoff.

Wow! They are not nearly that much. The highest I have ever seen a baby here is 60.
