    Question heat mat/thermostat how to?

    Hello,
I just put Odin in his new enclosure and i have to set the thermostat. Problem is that the one i bought online came with a sensor instead of a probe. so my question is that ok to just let the sensor near the substrate (where the mat is) or would it be useless?
Second question is, is it possible for him to burn himself with the top screen lamp cause of the bamboo thing i made? lamps is a 100w??

could we see a picture of the sensor/thermostat? i'm not sure why the sensor would be useless. if the thermostat is for the lamp/s, you should just let it dangle like an inch above the floor of the enclosure.

the thermostat is for the UTH? then the sensor gets sandwiched between the UTH and the outside bottom of the enclosure. the thermostat sensor/probe should not go inside the enclosure because it can get pushed around, get wet or defecated on, or get ruined and/or cause a temperature spike.
