3rd times a charm! Finally got a full shed!

I thought balls only shed every couple months? Layla has shed 3 times in 2 months.

They can shed more often to get rid of problems like stuck eyecaps or injuries. 3 times in 2 month is actually pretty normal for a baby, it'll slow down as it grows.

    Congrats on sorting out humidity.

ps: you can't measure the snake length from the shed, it's usually 1/3 longer. Not sure if that's what you were doing.

Thanks! It feels good. It's almost like that's their test for you in how well you did on keeping their husbandry on point.

Lol was just curious on length but ya I know it's not their true length. It measures close though about 20in depending on on how hard I stretch it.

That's kind of crazy. I was surprised really then bummed because she had balled it up and looked like she kicked it out of the door, and then I saw it had a dark spot in the middle of it. I was like "Aww man! She pooped in it!". I was super excited to get my first full shed to show my wife and kids.

lol yeah, that's what they do. They kind of roll it off like a sock, flipping it inside out, and then usually poop, pee, or both right after.

    Re: Lazy Layla tricked me!

Here's some pics with the rock lair. She is 210g and maybe 20-22in long, just to give you guys an idea for the medium size. I really like but now it really makes my 10gal tank look small. Now Im considering getting a 20gal tub setup just to be able to get better clutter to put in there. I found these 2 tubs that look they might work with out addiing extra clips or straps to secure the lid.
