Also, if you haven't already covered your screen top I would recommend doing that as well. Cut a piece of cardboard to fit and wrap it in aluminum foil. This will help drastically with humidity.
Also, keep handling to a bare minimum during shed.
As far as feeding, some people offer, some don't. I personally offer and my snakes have yet to refuse.
