    I've fed mine in one since I've had him and he seems fine. Doesn't show any signs of being stressed. He immediately strikes and constricts and eats up! I usually leave him in the box for about an hour after he has eaten and then gently move him back to his enclosure.

    the fact is this is not a typical experience. more often than not, attempting to feed in a separate feeding enclosure has a chance of putting snakes off feed and causing stress. the benefits do not outweigh the risks here. your one experience does not apply to all snakes, while the majority of keepers/breeders have learned through experience that a separate enclosure AT BEST provides no benefit to the snake, and AT WORST causes stress and refusals.
