    The more I consider this dilemma the more I struggle

    I don't think there's an answer to be fair . Both fabulous options but such a different experience .

    I'd be tempted to spend a little while at a reptile store handling both types ..

    Do it! Handle them both, and whatever feels right to you then go with it

    I thought I'd never get into ball pythons until I went to a NARBC show and saw some in person and handled a few, now I'm hooked! I do know that most new snake people who are afraid of snakes that come over to see my collection prefer to see and handle the ball pythons. A faster moving snake like a corn or King snake freaks them out LOL.

    I think corns are less forgiving but both are easy to care for. The important thing is to remember that neither are a shelf decoration that you can throw food at once a week and forget about it. They have specific husbandry needs in order to thrive and they can be expensive so it's not something to take lightly.
