If snakes are not permitted on the lease, or if he's simply trying to avoid a pet deposit, then maybe that stern post is warranted. Was the original post edited because I see nothing that indicates he cant be a responsible keeper to his current or planned collection, other than being a snake guy in a community of snake haters...
No my original post was not editied. I posted before I went to bed and woke up in hopes of some answer to help me aquire the house type I need so I would have space for all my animals and child and room for our other hobbies as well. No lease has stated against snakes and each house I'm looking at is pet friendly until the bring up my snakes. I've already cut my options down severely and know my other options are only welcoming to my dog and 2 pet mice with a pet deposit of course. I wish to have a system that can be easily hidden and locked during house visits (like you said) and family members that are afraid of my pets. I keep my snake in a glass terrarium displayed so simply placing him in a bin system already breaks my heart, I do not understand why the above commenter believes my wishes makes me a horrible care giver and a scorn on everything we reptile lovers stand for, when my entire goal is to give them everything they need which is their own room for privacy that can be temp regulated and disguised as an office to avoid searching 100 miles away from my job for a house which will cut down my time with my family and pets immensely.
