Hi fellow maritimer! I know what you mean about meeting and talking to someone that likes snakes - you can't stop. I get some pretty crazy reactions here as well. My brother (among others) have asked if I am scared of either my little boa or my two year old ball getting out at night and what would happen. I am concerned but not for the reasons that they are thinking - the snakes not going to kill my family, just hide somewhere and I won't be able to find them. In some ways society is so backwards, too many people have watched too many bad snake movies or are dwelling on the nasty stories in the media. It's hard to get the message across but I try hard and I have won some people over including my wife (now the argument is that she thinks the ball is prettier than the boa - I disagree with her but, oh well...).
