This is true, I'll see if he's willing to do this, it is pretty easy to find pastels, lessers and spiders which is what I'd want to breed him to when theyre ready

Definitely get a replacement or a refund to purchase a better quality pastel.
If your future intentions are to breed, the snake in question is not the best breeding material in my personal opinion.
Poor quality snakes produce poor quality offspring. There may be a chance to hatch out a gem here and there, but it's just better to breed cleaner higher quality pastels.

If it was a more expensive animal and I was the seller I would be sending you the correct one and having you ship this one back at my expense. The sellers mistake should in no way cost you more money to get the correct animal that you agreed to buy.
This does remind me of a slightly similiar situation that happened to me with ordering some fish. I was supposed to be getting in some freshly smoked salmon, my box and another accidently had the wrong labels placed on them. My box got to the others destination first, that customer called and after dealing with them, the fishery called me to tell me that my box went somewhere else, there was still a box arriving soon, made sure I was going to be available to recieve my correct order the following day and that the box arriving was going to have about 15 pounds of swordfish in it and to offer advice on how to cook it if I needed it. That has always stood out to me as an amazing example of great customer service and I have given them business several times since then.

It's this simple at this point.
If he doesn't give you a full refund or ship you the correct snake at no cost for you then you need to leave a bad review on him. You don't need to pay anything in this matter, not even if he wanted that snake shipped back to him, it would be on him.
Then if he doesn't righ the situation, call your credit card company and state that you'd like to file a dispute and that you paid for something and you never received the product. Your company should side with you on this then that way you still get all your money back and leave him a bad review still. That's just what I would do if I were screwed over though.

I am a very small time breeder, and to me, it all comes down to customer service, as was mentioned. First, id thoroughly apologize. Then, id ship you the correct snake at no extra cost to you, and let you keep the wrong snake. And, id prob throw in an extra goodie, like a t shirt, feed cards, stickers, etc. It doesnt matter how much the snake cost. It was my f-up, and i would do whatever i could to make you very happy for making a purchase from me. Happiness=returning customers
