Aww, lol. I'll be your Valentine. Just don't tell my husband :eek: Haha. I know what you mean though, even though its over the internet, and we have all never met, I feel we are all friends. People just don't get the snakes. So you can't really share that sort of stuff like you would want. Most of my friends are "scared of snakes". Thankfully, we are converting my daughters friends, one at a time. So she will have some friends that don't think her snakes are creepy. However, she does have one friend who isn't allowed to come to our house because of them. Stupid people.

I've been pretty lucky though in that most of my friends didn't bat an eye when I started keeping reptiles, they've seen me do much stranger things. It's the encounters with the general public (small talk in waiting rooms, grocery store, work, etc) where I'm reminded the whole world doesn't love snakes

It's the same for me. My friends don't care at all, but it can kill a conversation with a stranger really fast. Doesn't help that I immediately (and most likely irreparably) dislike anyone that doesn't tolerate/like snakes... it severely limits the amount of people on the planet that I like

I was in Payless and tried talking snakes to the cashier and she was like ewww.

I work at Payless, and the few times I've tried to talk to people about snakes (when they mentioned something related to them) they say ewww to me when I say I keep them No love. Oh well lol

I experience the same here. People hear you keep snakes and they think your nuts. Hell my wife is so tired of me getting on here shes about to leave me if I don't cool it. Maybe that would be a good thing anyone looking g for an old man, I cook good work hard and love reptiles oh yeah did I say I love reptiles. I wouldn't know how to act if I was married to someone that got excited about a new pick up.
