Breeding and eating issues...

I have a pastel that has been refusing food since breeding..She's a very light and finicky eater to begin with, and the only time I could get her to eat, she would have a hot spot of about 90. Now that it's season and my temps are down to about 79, she isn't eating. Of course I realize she's been paired a few times with my spider, and it could just be bc she's in breeding mode but I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should bump the temp back up and see if she'll eat...I thought that after being paired, she'd begin eating more frequently, but that's not happening..any advice?

You should never lower your hotspot temps only the ambient room temps.

If 79 is your hot spot your asking for trouble.

I never lower my hot spot temps, I allow the rooms ambient air temperature to drop to about 73 but my hot spots stay at 92ish year around.

New question. Should i slowly raise the hot spot temp or just bump it back up

In my relatively limited experience, I've had just as many girls go off feed as soon as I introduced a male as I've had eat through the early follicle development stages, and have had equal results from both parties.

I never lower my hot spot temps, I allow the rooms ambient air temperature to drop to about 73 but my hot spots stay at 92ish year around.

My night time hot spot goes below 79...No troubles here...
