I can't vote because I haven't sold any snakes (yet) but I can tell you where i have purchased mine.
Kingsnake and local shows / local reptile board.
I'm in the same position, I haven't had anything to sell, but I can give the (somewhat voracious) consumer viewpoint. As a shopper I don't even bother with CL for the same reasons, in my mind CL=rescues (I know this isn't always the case, but a lot of people do seem to go there to dump unwanted animals). I do most of my shopping on kingsnake, it's fairly easy to use the search function to find what I'm looking for genetically and do price/quality comparisons. I do however expect a link to a website on a kingsnake ad, and if the website looks shoddy I don't buy. I expect a professional quality website from a professional breeder. So my vote would be split between kingsnake and websites.

I didn't really expect to sell any snakes by using YouTube , I just figured since I'm shooting a video I might as well mention the ones for sale and next thing you know the emails and messages started pouring.

Just so I understand, you look for professional breeders with professional websites that use a paid classified service and that offer top quality snakes - the best of everything. And for all that you are willing to pay top dollar, even over market value, right?

I am willing, and I have. Like anyone, I'm happy to get a bargain, but only if everything seems to be in order. I understand that professional breeders have higher overhead than hobbyists, and I'm willing to pay top dollar for top animals/top service. To me buying a questionable animal just because it's "cheap" is false economy if I end up spending a fortune at the vet. I feel that with a professional breeder I have much lower risk of buying an animal that is unhealthy, I don't want to spread diseases among my animals for sure, but as a pro that would destroy your business. I'm not going to pay massively over market value, but I'm happy to pay at the high end of the spectrum for a good quality, healthy animal.

I voted craig's list because in my area you can find everything from champagne, to pewter and even
a nice calider male listed. I've tried both kingsnake and fauna but sold nothing on either site.
I have bought from all three sites and follow strict quarantine guidelines for anything brought
    into my small collection.

Fauna by far... I've advertised here, BLBC, fauna, kingsnake, and facebook. At this point I only post classifieds on fauna, kingsnake, and facebook but do run a banner on bp.net still.

I'm sure others feel the same way and are willing to pay more for quality.

I may differ in the definition of a professional in that I consider a professional BP breeder someone that makes their entire living from breeding and selling snakes. There are some, like Outback, that don't just sell what they breed but flip snakes from other sources. There are the obvious Pro's like BHB, NERD, JKobylka, Ralph Davis, etc. but there are some that frequent this forum that also make their living from breeding.

That said, there are some people that frequent this forum that I do not consider Pro's but that I would not hesitate to purchase snakes from. I could name a few but then I'd have to name them all. Point is you can get very high quality snakes from hobbyists also. And some of those hobbyists advertise their snakes for sale on Craigslist.

I have no problem buying from a hobbyist if I can be sure of the quality of the animal and their care. In fact loonunit bred Little Dude, my PH lavender, but I know her personally. I guess I'm just more hesitant to attempt to sort the good ones out on CL. Although if they had consistent good reviews on the forums I wouldn't have a problem with it.

Okay, I tried it and ended up finding a couple of corn snakes for sale in my area but no pythons. Maybe I'll have to try advertising there sometime when I have more snakes for sale.

I use a CL search engine - SearchTempest.com - and used your zip code and found several ball python and carpet python ads, especially around Portland. There were a lot more when the eggs started hatching.

You have nothing to lose by trying it since it's free.
