My advice is to make sure to set up the tank (or tub) with everything you will need before you get the snake. start letting the heat run and make sure your temps are nice and stable, you're snake will be much happier if everything is ready and waiting for him =)

also, i would advise to start saving money for a "rainy day" fund. i would never wish any illness on anyones pet, but sometimes it DOES happen, and vet bills can be expensive, having some money set aside for emergencies is a must.

Also, I would go with a tub with locks on it. Yes glass tanks are awesome, but they are hard to control temps humidity and security for the snake, especially if it is a baby. I just got a one year old who was not happy with a tank he never came out of his hide, i switched him to a tub and he will actually come out at night to explore... just a suggestion from experience. Also, let them just stay in their enclosure for about a week after you get him/her. Don't feed it, don't handle it, nothing unless it's a dire emergency like the house is on fire. Afterwards, start with small incriments of handling time (ten to fifteen minutes at first usually is a good starting point) until you know how he/she reacts to being handled because you don't want them stressing out on you too much. Be sure to ask whomever you're purchasing the snake from what they have been feeding your snake, that way you have somewhat of a starting point for food. I know this is a lot of info and someone please correct me if I am wrong on any of this! Good luck and have fun.

The problem is that keeping 10 bps in a 10 tub rack is only a little bit more work/money than taking car of 1 bp. And by problem i mean not a problem lol!

Im up to 5 bps right now. Picking up #6 on wed nite and already planned to get 7 and 8 within the next month. (If theyre hatched that is...)

Oooh Believe me I save for my Dog Loki she is a boston and I always make sure we have money put away encase she needs to be rushed in for any reason, I would like to become a vet one day and take care of reptiles and Dogs I am hoping allot to get one soon, I don't know if I will need heat lamps so much. I live in Colorado so the heats reaches the 100's and it dont get to cool in the house till night.... I might just have to talk to scales and tails

Honestly I saw the tubs they use and I really don't like them too small, and they collect allot of moisture and Mold is my worse problem I am allergic to mold and my little brother inlaw is worse with mold than me. I am thinking about a 5 or 10gal but getting one of those tank pictures you can get for fish etc, but get like a greenie poster kind so they feel more secure
