My favorite book is The Descent by Jeff Long, and I really enjoyed his Year One too. No one carries any of his other books (I don't know why) so I'll have to order all his other ones from Amazon probably.
I also really like Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child's books, Mount Dragon is my favorite from them.
Can't beat the Lord of the Rings, awesome books and some of my favorite movies.
My second favorite book is probably Stephan King's The Stand (the uncut and complete version): holy cow I LOVED that book. Desperation is my second fave from him and I enjoyed Pet Sematary too.
I've only read the first Hunger Games and though I enjoyed it (and the movie) and would like to read the last two, I have to say it's a complete rip off of Koushun Takami's Battle Royale novel (sorry HG lovers). So I really recommend that book and it is one of my all time faves.
Right now I am reading Memoirs of a Geisha and I love it, I want to watch the movie after I'm done with the book to see how it compares.
