Difficult finding a guy OR a girl, I know this! Just so happens there are no geeky, snake loving, xbox playing, metal music loving, prone-to-bursts-of-randomness girls in my town or around!! So just as well I stumbled on the guy equivalent who looks slightly like Jeremy McKinnon from ADTR and all I needed to do was work out the reptile kink

and to the OP - I'm sure your mum will understand if you explain to her I'm awful at talking to guys....nervous, stuttery, and I have this horrific laugh I do after I'm done blabbering non stop that I feel to literally hit myself when i'm finished

Ooouu! Congrats on finding him. I haven't quite sold mine on expanding the collection yet, but we'll get there. I also would like my animal collection to include a puppy...so that is what I'm currently pushing for.

Try being a guy in a girl's body looking for both gender reassignment AND another guy who likes animals (including snakes/monitors... and dogs/cats/ferrets...), videogames, AND starving artists I've actually found some guys who are interested in my interests that are kinda cute... too bad they like girls.

Talk about difficult! Lol. I feel ya. My friend J.T. was having a similar issue a couple years ago. It was a rough time for him, but he lives with his boyfriend now and all seems well. Only difference was that he didn't have snakes. He has yet to get the surgery, but maybe one day. FTM is super expensive though. I got to attend a very detailed lecture by a local plastic surgeon on it. I was shocked by how much more FTM cost than MTF. Best of luck! If you ever want to talk about it feel free to PM me. I have several friends who have gone/are going through the process.

Ok, finally made it all the way through this thread, but have to admit I went a little mushy in the brain after the "Tattooed Pixy" comment, due to the fact that I absolutely adore tattoed pixies, but then I came back to life when I read the following:

And went mushy in the brain again.....

Good luck on the puppy! I've always said that my animals and I are a package deal, no way am I giving them up just because I want to "settle" for someone.

Yea, living in conservative-town (Amishville ) I'm not likely to find too many winners here, but we'll see where the wind takes me once I get out of college. Congrats to your friend, I love hearing stories end happily like that. I'm still in the beginning stages, my parents didn't take too kindly to it when I dropped the bomb on them (which is funny, my sisters said they expected something like that for a while now) so I'm sort of spinning my wheels trying to figure out where to go from here.

The surgeries are expensive and it's like pulling teeth. A lot of doctors won't do the "top" surgery (removal of the breasts) or the hysterectomy unless you can either prove that there's something wrong with your "parts" or you're X age and have had Y amount of kids and are Z financially stable blah blah blah. And then you have the problem of how difficult it is to find a good surgeon for the "bottom" surgery (shouldn't need explaining there ) and covering the expenses... and deciding whether you want to go overseas for the procedure or not. And, of course, you've got the problem that the surgery hasn't caught up to what MtF's can get in terms of how much function/feeling you get out of it... all around MtF's have a very difficult time being accepted into society, but FtM's have a hard time actually making the change.

It scares the guys my age. The jackets are hand-me-downs from my step-dad, but I like them because they're surprisingly warm. Plus I don't have to worry about ruining my nice coats when I'm bumming around the college labs.

..Then again, it might be because I always look pissed off. I'unno.

Most guys your age probably don't know enough about themselves to be much use to someone else anyway...I was a guy that age once...I speak from experience.
