    My guess (with near certainty) would be Candoia carinata paulsoni or Solomon Island Ground Boa. Interestingly, both rough scaled boas and viper boas are also sub-species of Candoia.

    Solomons are dark like that when they are young and tend to get lighter/brighter as they grow. Very nice baby there - yours or planning to be yours?? Bioteacher here works with several of the Candoia species but I can't for the life of me find his website.
