So I finally had the time to catch up on this whole thread... Raptor's got it pretty close, though if I have enough video games and books, shiny gemstones are a weakness for me... but that's me.

What I wanted to add was the other side of the coin: Years ago when I was into the club and party scene, no guy would come up to me! I took an incredibly low self esteem friend of mine one night and she was constantly hit on. I asked one of my guy friends what the problem was and he told me I looked "too intimidating" or "too self confident to be single." I didn't necessarily feel that way, but apparently looked that way. There I was hoping guys would talk to me and when I did flirt at the bar, I'm told, scared them by speaking to them!

Somewhere along the way I just gave up and every relationship I had since I was 20 was either initiated by me or grew from a friendship initiated by me. Oh, but how I wish just one guy had the nerve to talk to me back then! (Or buy the pretty girl a drink, sheesh!) Just sayin' my 2 cents...

You are very wrong about women. My fiancee isn't "ripped" or rich. When we buy presents for each other they are heartfelt, not necessarily expensive. I fell in love with him because he is genuine, hilarious, honest and loveable. He didn't have to spend hours at the gym or hundreds of dollars on me to catch me and he doesn't have to do it to keep me either.

Being attractive and making money may not get you women on this forum. But I guarantee it will get you more women than you're getting now. In your situation I don't think beggars can be choosers. Besides, you need to run through at least a hundred hood rats so by the time you find a girl you like, or likes you (in your case there's no real difference), you'll at least be ok with women.

Oh, and your use of the term "hood rat" tells me all I need to know about your lack of class.

Maybe the way you act is only attracting those types of people... Changing your approach might change your results.

I haven't read this entire thread, but did read your post. I don't think it's being afraid or feeling that it's pointless, in my opinion it sounds like you got bit by the anxiety bug.
