Ok, my mistake if you never recommended people to avoid them. And I am not arguing that the paleo diet is not healthy but the fact is there is yet to be any credible scientific evidence that shows negative health consequences of legumes, grains, and dairy.
There is also no data comparing paleo vs non paleo foods showing paleo foods superior to non paleo foods in health indexes.

again, not saying its not healthy but paleo claims are based on a lot of pseudoscience.
That said, if you feel better on it and it works for you then I wish you the best!

Everyone will have a different opinion on credible scientific evidence (we have people that dont believe in evolution for example), and I am also not out to convience anyone that legumes, grains and dairy are not healthy, but there is plenty of research out about the negative effects these 3 have on the human body.

    Great link for studies.

To me credible scientific evidence would be a peer reviewed journal and to date I have yet to find any evidence to support paleo claims. If you know of any please let me know.

In my honest opinion diets where you eliminate certain foods unless you have a specific allergy are not diets that most can follow for long periods of time with success. And I would argue that most of these diets are actually unhealthy.
That said and as I have stated before, the paleo diet is actually a healthy diet that one could follow (like yourself) with great success.

Over the past year I have lost over 90lbs. I did it by cutting out all the fast food, pop, and other junk that I use to love. I also started to run. I average 5-7 miles every other day now. It hasn't always been easy, but it is sure worth it. Now for the biggest challenge. Keeping the weight off.....

Re: anyone else trying to lose weight

I'm 5'8 and weight 160lbs. Right now I'm eating at maintenance and working on building muscle. I'll be doing this until July 1st. Then I'm going to cut down to 130-140lbs(give or take some lbs.) for the reminder of the year. I'm going for the fitness model look.

I'm up everyday at 5:45am to go to the gym, then I'm either going to work or school afterwards. I'm telling you. The hardest part for me is waking up in the morning, but now I'm getting use to it.

Sure, toss the tone up shoes out the window.

Lol, those tone up shoes don't really do anything.

If you want to reshape your butt, then you're going to have to do exercises for your glutes. Like squats, lunges, bulgarian squats, and even a leg press machine will help. The key is to be consistent and you will see changes over the next few months. Oh, and using weights will help also.

Re: anyone else trying to lose weight

Really good documentary I watched the other day that followed a couple guys around after they chose a new diet.

Forks over Knives. It's streaming on Netflix if you have it. Go watch it
