No where in that story did you rule out someone messing with you. Since that's far more likely than ghosts I and you should assume that until you get further evidence.
You have incredibly low standards of understanding what you read. Where in my story did I say "I saw a ghost"? I mentioned it to be a "figure of a lady" you ASSumed I meant "ghost". Also the question on the title to this thread was "do you believe in ghost" I answered and gave the reason of why I do now. I did not post it to "prove" there are ghost so why would I need evidence?
You keep trying to tell people their stories are not true but unless you were there at the exact time you have no grounds to speak what you believe happened. Do you not think I asked myself the very question if someone could have been messing with us? Obviously from someone who did not believe in ghost before I asked myself tons of questions that night. As for which is more "likely" that night I wouls say seeing a ghost was. The cemetary I was at was out in the middle of nowhere one single road coming in and out and on road on the front side. There were corn fields 5 miles on each side and spanning about 4 miles behind it till there was another dirt road. So let me see, was it more likely a lady was at the cemetary for about 1 hour and then decided to come out and say nothing? Or was it something more?
You can "believe" what you want and tell yourself what you want.
Thank you for letting me know your perspective of my encounter.

Yeah, nice over generalization there while completely ignoring the merits of what he and I have said.

Well, to move on past the war going on.
I, personally, do believe in ghosts. I've had seperate experience with two of them, in different locations, on opposite sides of the world.
A few years ago, I was in the navy. The first ship I was stationed on was the USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), and I was an engineer on it.
One of the spaces that my division was responsible for was Auxiliary Room 2 (Aux 2 for short), which contained some of our equipment. Every single engineer on the ship knew of the weird stuff going on down there.
When doing watch rounds at night, I would often see shadows in places that they didn't belong. Cold spots when the space itself was 95 degrees. Soft whispers when no one else was in the space with me, and there was nothing around for anyone to hide behind without being seen.
Even the new people who hadn't been told yet of the ghost down there would notice that the space was weird and would hear voices.
A worker when the ship was built was accidentally crushed when they were lowering an A/C into place.
I am not making up my own experiences, and of the 60 other engineers on the ship, a good 3/4 of them had their own. Many before they even knew there was a ghost down there.
My other experience was less than a year ago. I'm now a security guard, and the last building I was posted at had two 'official' floors, and an unofficial one called the Pipe Space, which was between the other two and had a lot of equipment, plus supports for the floor above. Again, it was my job to walk through it to check on it on my rounds. Because of the layout, it was VERY easy to see if there were other people in it.
Voices calling my name and tugging on my belt loops, when there were no other people around and my radio was silent.
My supervisor and the other guard had similar experiences, also while alone.
Again, I'm not asking you to believe yourselves, just that I have had my own experiences that ensure I do believe that they exist.
However, I also do believe that whether they are friendly or not is an individual basis. Like the old legends of the dog ghosts from Great Britian (look them up, I find them fascinating), some are malevolent, some are neutral, and some are even benevolent and helpful.

well see, thats the problem, you guys cant just say your personal opinion in your own post. you go around replying to everyones posts arguing with them, like its so important you prove a point. this thread is about YOUR PERSONAL OPINION ON THE SUBJECT, NOT YOUR PERSONAL OPINION ABOUT EVERYONES OPINIONS. man i feel bad for people that are so insecure, they have to put other people down to feel good about themselves

I just cant believe in it. I think people see and hear what they want to.
Same goes for movies like Paranormal Activity. I dont believe in Demons or people who's bodies become overtaken by demons. I think they are either A.) mentally unstable or B.) doing it for attention.
Until I actually physically witness a full floating vapour apparition or some chicks head completely spin around..... sorry I ain't buyin it
I have been to supposed haunted assylums, houses, graveyards, and restaraunts and I saw nor felt nothing. Pictures were taken, orbs were captured on film....lol Cold spots were recorded, and noises were heard, but at no time did I physically see or feel anything.
So I'd like to get anyones take on it if they believe or do not believe and why
With out going through the whole thread. I have been a fan of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International on SyFy since Season 1. I always try to explain to people that think its all a show, but to no avail.
I for one don't believe in spirits of humans or animals roaming (ghost), how ever I do believe in certin things taking on energy. Being a Christian "Ghost" isn't biblical. How ever I do believe in spirits... Demonic, Angelical, Holy Spirit, and Lucifer.
I study demonology because of a ministry I am heavily involved in. I am also a psychologist. Everything I have learned in psychology points away from demonic possesion.I believe in a mix of both mental illness as well as the latter... Some people I fully believe needs medication, however I have seen demons driven out of people and the person live a happy healthy mental life.
Now the things with Ghost Hunters and I why I support TAPS like I do and have even gathered a team of my own to do they same. They are not nessacerly going in to prove that a place is haunted. none of there equipment was devaloped for the sake of doing what they do. However they (we) study therorys around what can happen happen with the equipment. Only about 8% of there investigations have truely brought upon something. Most of the time they find a natural explanation. Such EMF (Electro Magnatic Fields)... Those people that are sinsative, or allergic to EMFs will have a since of someone watching them, hulucinations, sick to your stomachs and headaches, and in all a creepy feeling. There was one time they where investigating at a house, where the cold water in the bathroom would come on by its self, turns out the water pressure was the cause. The kid in the house desciribed seeing ghost that where just like Disney charictors that where depicted in her room. I do believe in what they do find when they do find it. I just disagree with what they claim it is.

1. I didn't reply to everyone's post. I only replied once to a single point in Maddumplings post, whom had made an incorrect claim about the scientific process, I replied in an attempt to correct it to prevent the spread of misinformation in a public forum.
2. Incorrect information is not an opinion. 1+1=3 is not an opinion. Correcting a claim that 1+1=3 is also not an opinion.
3. You made a reply calling me "Another Egapal" with a negative emoticon tagged with it, implying disagreement. I simply replied to say that you were over generalizing, by comparing me to someone else, and that you made absolutely no comment on the merits of anything I've said.
4. You reply yet again, not addressing the merits of anything I have said. You attack me by a. making allegations as to the motives of my actions, b. accuse me of trying to put other people down, and c. make assumptions as to my mental state. ( i.e. insecure )
Ad hominem attacks are a rather uncouth logical fallacy. I am not an insecure person, if I were perhaps I wouldn't have the self esteem to stand up to someone trying to insult me.
Also, I generally don't put people down. I happen to like people, however just because you disagree with something I say, doesn't mean you can claim ownership over my motivation for saying it. If you allow yourself to be offended at something, then that's a problem within yourself.
You don't have to agree with anything I say, people have the right to be wrong. But don't cross the line by attacking me again, or I'll report you to a moderator. If you wish to discuss the merits of what I've said, or have any questions I'd be happy to answer them as clearly and concisely as I'm able.

look, im just trying to get people to realize that this thread isnt a debate team, if you see someone that is providing an "incorrect claim about the scientific process", maybe you should think, that maybe, the scientific process, in their opinion, is bs. or it is missing something, or doesnt prove anything, just let them believe what their going to believe. for EXAMPLE: your not going to tell someone that their wrong in believing in God, because there is no "scientific proof" that he exsists, just because they leave "God bless" at the end of their post.

Re: Do you believe in Ghosts?
I had some experiences before I was a teenager, but nothing in almost the last 4 decades until yesterday. I definitely had an experience worth sharing. I was showing a commercial building to a large group of people midday. The building was completely lit and there were no less than 30 people milling around looking. A gentleman and I were standing apart on opposite sides of a 6 ft wide hallway and next to the door leading into a room just talking, when a small child ran between us and into the room. The other guy standing right next to the door leaned and poked his head into the room to tell the child to slow down but suddenly had a puzzled look on his face. He turned to me and said, "did you see that." I said, "the kid that just ran in there? Yeah." He said, "where'd he go?" I poked my head in the door and there was noone there. We are talking about a room that is about is about 12 X 15 with a conference table and some chairs. We both walked in the room looking around as if there was somewhere we could not see, but that was not the case. There simply was no child. Had it been only me I would have probably talked myself out of it. But he saw it too and reacted first. We just sat there asking eachother if that really just happened? Make of it what you will, but since it was a shared experience I am convinced I saw something I can't explain.
