another victim of misinformation
This lil fella was brought to me almost a month ago. When I asked the guy how & why this happened, he said that the "breeder said to use a che for heat", he alsp didn't have the lamp covered with a guard to prevent the snake from curling around the che.
He just had a shed a few days ago, he looks much better, he took his first rat pup tonight .
this is a current pic, I didn't take one of him when he first came to me, I was too pissed I didn't think about it.

Ouch! On the plus side, at least it's in good hands now. I love rescue stories.

will the scales come back? that's awful. Standard care sheets and basic pet care should come with warnings about these sorts of injuries. A simple sentence in bold could have prevented this
Ride the snake, ride the snake/ To the lake, the ancient lake, baby/ The snake is long, seven miles/ Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold... (The End, The Doors)

The guy who brought him to me feels really bad about what happened, I told him that I would care for it til I got it healed, and he could take it home with the proper equipment/supplies & care sheets.

The person he purchased him from misinformed him on proper husbandry, that's why whenever I sell a snake it goes with a care sheet & a recommendation to join this site.
Not sure if he will get scales back, doubtful with the depth of the burns, but time will tell.

He already looks better, when he came to me, all the wounds were bloody scabby, they were dry (no drainage), so I let them be (no soaking), and now that he's taking food & drinking, he'll pull through like a champ

I do not doubt that one bit! It already appears to be healing nicely. They're hardy little creatures, no argument there.
I'm glad the owner is now properly informed. Most do not mean harm, but are simply lazy, in my opinion. It's never a good idea to rely on the first source of information you come across. Any animal requires research for proper care. I've encountered first hand a situation in which the owner meant well but just wasn't well informed. I'm still in contact with the previous owner of my first rescue, who was a class pet. The kids have enjoyed seeing her transformation since I received her.
