No gaurauntees that your friend request will be accepted though, apparently he's hit the limit since it is a "Person" account not a "Fan Page" (not sure why he doesn't move his auctions to his fan page). You also have to send him a message if you want to participate in the bidding, which will get your request accepted quicker, of course, because the more bidders, the higher the price.
