I'm not quite sure what you mean when you said you "found it outside your girlfriend's house", but I agree with the previous posters that you should just get a plastic tub and some flexwatt... it's sooo much cheaper and easier. Plus, both of those tanks are WAY too big for a ball python. They only get to be a maximum of 5 feet (maybe 6 ft) long, and he'll actually be pretty stressed out in such a huge enclosure. The biggest tank I would recommend for an adult ball python is either a 40 or 55 gal, but even those can be a pain to move and maintain. If you got a sterilite/rubbermaid tub instead, you wouldn't have to worry about the space it would take up in your house either.

But whatever you decide to do, please do not put your snake in your garage. You yourself pointed out how much the temperatures fluctuate, and the humidity would be difficult to maintain. A tub would save you a lot of space and aggravation, and I bet you could probably make some pretty decent money selling both of those huge tanks!!
