They aren't that bad, lol. It depends on the blood line. My ASFs are really calm and aren't the least bit aggressive. I can grab them by the body, play with the babies and the mothers just look at me. I keep an eye out for the "squinty" face that indicates a nip coming up though. Just in case they are in a bad mood. I've been bitten once and I was holding a hide with my finger in the doorway and underneath was a mom and babies. It wasn't a very nasty bite, more like "hey, get outta here". If you are interested, shop around, you may find someone with a calm group. BUT I wouldn't really recommend them as a pet per-say.
