Re: Got a new pistol today!

This is one of the stupidest things I've heard in a long time

How it works here in the US is.....

We have the RIGHT to bear arms, for now anyways.....

But if someone breaks into your house, and puts you and your family at risk, they're getting blasted.

Also how the hell did we get from guns, to snakes? Guns were designed to kill people, and they are just treated them like toys and then someones kid ends up getting into their gun and shooting someone else.

Of coruse I don't expect to sway anyone, I know thats even more pointless than anything else.

Nice looking gun, im become more and more intrigued with composite guns...
they seem lighter, more durable, easier to clean...

    DarkSean,

Guns weren't designed to kill people... our military was.
Guns are not only used as protection, BUT A SPORT, AND A RECREATION...
guns aren't the reason for crime, crazy people are.

im sorry, but when someone breaks into my house, being, unarmed, or armed...
i want to be fully ready with my 12 gauge, just in case.
ANY GUN, is cheaper than my family's life.

And your logic makes no sense...
if guns were outlawed, then the criminals would have them, and we wouldn't...
so again, ill stick with my guns.

    GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Re: Got a new pistol today!

    Problem with that logic man

Criminals are criminals, they dont care about the laws, they're ALWAYS going to have guns

If they KNOW guns are banned, the average law-abiding suburbian household ISNT going to have a gun laying around, that makes them PRIME targets to break into, criminals know they know they aren't going to get shot.

If EVERY criminal KNEW that every household had a gun, you think they'll think twice about breaking in?

The police are smarter than you seem to think they are, and if you shoot someone in a non-self-defense scenario, the evidence will bear that out. Just saying, "it was self-defense" doesn't fly by itself. They investigate, and presuming the evidence lines up with your story, you don't get in trouble. If the evidence contradicts your story, you'll likely end up in jail.

On that note, in general it's really best to have the only words that pass your lips when you interact with police be some variation of "I want a lawyer."

They're fun to shoot...I have a Springfield XDm 9mm and it's a hoot. A great contrast to my Springfield 1911...they make for a fun day at the range!

I haven't had the chance to shoot that many, but they seem rather nice.
I was extremely surprised to hear how durable they actually are, and my friend took apart his to show me, and honestly... all that is metal was the trigger, slide, and barrel... its a pretty slick little deal.

The best part about composites is theyre SO much lighter than metal-frames. Which is wonderful if you carry everyday like I do.

Now now, it's not his fault as dr del said.
In Canada it's the same way. I have never met one Canadian (who wasn't a criminal) with even the slightest desire to own a handgun. It's completely different. To be 100% honest I thought that the Americans with a desire to own a hand gun were very few and far in between.

I know that everyone keeps saying that people kill people not guns but unfortunetly I still am yet to be convinced.

When your walking through walmart and someone cuts infront of you in line you get a little bit aggrivated. In Canada sometimes an arguement can happen. (it's happened to me) sometimes aggresion can take over and you just wanna punch him in the face. Now instead, you pull that "protection" out and pop a cap in his ass.

I don't know the numbers but I'm sure a lot more people are killed in the states by hand guns then anywhere that handguns are out lawed?

But just restating my original idea. The way we were raised is handguns are bad. Handguns kill people. Only bad guys have guns. You touch a gun and someone finds out you go to jail.

I know it will sound bad to some but I am perfectly 100% happy with that. I'm happy to live somewhere that I know if I piss someone off I won't get shot. I'm happy to know I can work at a gas station and not have to worry about getting robbd with a handgun and getting shot. I'm happy to know some kid isn't going to take his dads, uncles, grandfathers gun to school and shoot my future kids. I would be very happy if there was allowed 0 hand guns in Canada allowed and only hunting rifles with very strict laws regarding them.

    Don't flame, just my opinion.

Just saying, the picture where the person posted there "protection". If you did that in the hunters course you would have been redoing the test. If your finger goes anywhere near the trigger without the intent to shoot the gun you fail.

GUNS DONT KILL PEOPLE. They need a operator to pull the trigger. The gun does what ITS TOLD TO DO. Not the guns fault EVER.

And there are laws inplace for situations like that. Your life MUST BE IN DANGER to use your gun. If you pull it out brandishing it just cause you have it, well you can end up in jail and fined, not to mention the loss of your ability to own guns.
