Because guns are alot of fun, they help us defend ourselves and shoot for recreation. It's our right as free men to be able to defend ourselves from crime, nature, and corrupt government. Heck if I wasn't cheap as hell I'd own one.

Besides kid you could kill someone with a pillow (Smothering ring a bell?) or a cast iron skillet. Or a hammer. Do you want those to be illegal to.

    Edit: Don't wanna risk rudeness

You would be surprised at the quality of CZ guns. I bought a cz452 american .22 just for plinking and man I can hit a 2 inch sqaure at 200 yards with it almost every time. I was looking into getting a 75 but went with the Springfield XD instead. There's just something about these composite framed guns they are just great. Looks like you got a great pickup there

I just had to use some of your own logic on you here bud. Just because you can own snakes doesn't mean you should. ITs personal preference and I take offense to comments such as "Jeeze! No wonder people just get randomly shot. Is there any real need for a gun?". All of my guns are locked in a safe about the size of your refrigerator not to mention I poured a 2ft thick slab under my house and brought lag bolts up through the floor and into the safe. I take pride in my gun safety. I go out to a shooting range and shoot at some paper targets or fruit or whatever im in the mood for that day. I really don't see a problem with it. If you have something better than childish comment to add then go ahead if not just stay out of threads such as this one. You knew the thread was about a gun and you still took time out to click it and make several comments which do not pertain to the original topic, and in my opinion are you way of taking a cheap shot at another forum member.

to the op how much did you get that for anyways I may still pick one up someday.

What did you get yours chambered in? And how much did it run you if you don't mind me asking?

And i fully understand the desire to own a gun! They can be fun (just like snakes). They can be dangerous (just like snakes). They come in so many variations (just like snakes). And once someone finds out you have one questions or comments are sure to follow (just like snakes)!

    Hi,

Just to interject that DarkSean is also from the UK and we have just had someone perpetrate our worst shooting spree for over a decade.

It's probably amplified the existing cultural differences somewhat in regards to gun ownership.

yes if i have the right to own a gun then yes means I SHOULD.

Sorry but this is a battle you will never win so give up on it.
lol nah, its because you nuts americans are stuck in your ways so choose to ignore any real sense. You can state your pointless facts, what are the stats in realtion of population size and actual crimes related to guns? Thats why these types of argument are pointless.

Also how the hell did we get from guns, to snakes? Guns were designed to kill people, and they are just treated them like toys and then someones kid ends up getting into their gun and shooting someone else.

Of coruse I don't expect to sway anyone, I know thats even more pointless than anything else.
