    Just leave the feeder in the enclosure for an hour or so and turn off the lights and leave the room.

    If it doesn't get eaten in a couple hours try zapping it with a hair dryer and putting it back in for another hour or so.

    if he doesn't eat then try again next week. He will eat when he is ready.

    I don't know if you mentioned it but what kind of hides does he have?
