Do I understand it right that you have had this snake for about 2 weeks? It's probably just stressed out, you've only had him for 2 weeks, and have been handling him quite a bit during that time. I would try putting him in his tub and leaving him alone for a week (no or very little handling), then offer again. There's a good reason people say to not mess with them for a full week.
