    Re: Motorola Droid release 11/6/09!

Android is taking over the cell phone market. I see windows mobile becoming almost non-existent(hopefully, only phone I have owned that had Windows Mobile was a hog on battery and got slow a a snail in two weeks, went back to my palm)

The Droids like a fun phone, but like with any new phone release it will have problems. Just wait a month or two and find out what they are and if you will be able to deal with them until they are fixed.

    Re: Motorola Droid release 11/6/09!

I traded my iphone 3gs for an HTC Dream a few weeks back, I have now successfully got rid of the crap that is HTC and Android and now have a new iphone, I couldn't stand it. The OS sucks, the iphone is the best phone on the market for personal use and possibly business use as well.

Because Android OS allows applications to run in the background, they need a batter to back it up. People complain about windows mobile, well try Android.. This is only based on 1.5, not 2.0 but watching videos, it doesn't look much different then 1.5, possibly a bit faster.
All of the applications aren't free! It's a myth, the app store is not that good, it has a lot of applications, but it just feels plain cheap. Like a beta OS that should have been tested better before release. The phones get very hot, very quickly, and the battery won't last a day with normal use.
    iPhone for the win.. Again!

    Re: Motorola Droid release 11/6/09!

I have an HTC Hero through sprint. I came from a mogul (windows based) and I have an IPOD touch and had always wanted an Iphone. I am really happy with the Hero. The amount of programs available is good and I think once everyone gets the droid there will be more. It took some time to get used to the virtural keyboard but not any harder than the ipod touch. It is a battery hog but so is the ipod. I really like it and it hasnt worn on me yet. I still play with it daily and have programs to track diabetic records and facebook and a bunch of other stuff. I have read bad reviews about this phone just like other ones and I just dont see it. I like the android platform and I think it is the future of phones.

The phone itself is an eye sore IMO.

They could of did a nicer job designing it.

Get it while you can early. On Nov 15th Verizon's Early Termination Fee is being ballooned all the way up to $350 per line of service. Yup, that's double what it is now.
