    Re: Motorola Droid release 11/6/09!

Well, the droid is made mostly of metal so it probably won't shatter if you drop it. I don't drop my phone much tho

Iphones can take a beating though. They are built rather well.

My friends all have them and they drop them all the time. Mind you not off 2 story buildings or anything. They do fine from a couple feet on to concrete or tile.

Mostly because it doesn't have a capacitive touch screen and you have to bang on it to click anything.
You can calibrate the touch on the Voyager to your touch. This one that I have now I'm not going to calibrate, because I actually like the touch setting it came with.

I don't have a problem with it un-locking in my pocket.

    Re: Motorola Droid release 11/6/09!

I haven't heard too much about the Droid phones at this point.

ALTHOUGH, an upgraded phone is ALWAYS nice, especially since I use mine non stop.

I'm interested in this new DROID system, as well as the 3G phones. e.g. MyTouch.

The Droid uses android 2.0. The mytouch uses the older version.
It is the first phone to use android 2.0

In about a year Android will be everywhere. AT&T has their first Android device coming in January from HTC and another right after. Android 2.0 looks much nicer from what I've seen to the previous version.

The touch system is pretty nice on mine too. I just got this new app that has tiny buttons and I don't have a problem clicking them on my touch screen.

Most of the time it will unlock itself when I have it in my sweater pocket and I lean against a counter. I can feel and hear it unlock so I don't have any problems with it. Occasionally it will unlock in my purse, atm I have a pretty small purse and cram alot of stuff in there, so I'm never surprised. Overall it's not a bad phone, but I do want a droid, lol. I mainly want something that I can fully customize, the voyager doesn't have much room for that.

OK....Big Gunns sees many Cell phone nerds on this thread that should be able to answer his question. Chickens.
