I agree it really goes well with the didge. Have you also checked out an instrument called the Hang Drum? Its pretty sweet as well.
They are amazing drums.....but You have to be on a 7 year waiting list.

I know its such a shame
They came out with something called a Hapi Drum here in the states. It comes close and yet it's still so far from a hang its sad.

Re: Anybody play the didge?
Isnt it Hung drum, but pronounced Hang drum? Or am I making it up?
I tried to make one out of a propane tank, but sadly does not compare in sound.

Re: Anybody play the didge?
I'm pretty sure you have it backwords and that it is spelled Hang Drum and pronounced Hung Drum hehe

Re: Anybody play the didge?
I play as well. Not so much of late as my allergies kinda keep me from being able to breath through my nose... Makes the whole circular breathing thing a bit tough LOL

I know what you mean, I have really bad sinus problems at times and it really makes it difficult. I still play though, I think the back pressure actually helps me get things cleared up.

Re: Anybody play the didge?
I don't play the didge but I do bang the heck out of a djembe.
There's a drum circle every sunday at the beach out here and every once in a while one or two of your guys show up and play. It's pretty cool.

It does seem to help sometimes but I just hate sounding like a gasping fish half the time... Just kinda takes the fun out of it to be droning along and then having to stop to suck in a huge lungful of air as if I were gasping my last breath before drowning.
Only a few more weeks and the worst of the season should be over and I can get back to it though
